Create stories from pictures and pictures to illustrate stories, use your imagination to change the stories you know and make your own story world with paper, glue, scissors and paints. The camp is ages 5 and 6 and runs from July 28 – August 1.

 - explore new techniques and media

Adventures in sketching (Still Life) – Explore different drawing materials such as pencil, charcoal, and conté with different techniques to capture shading, form and light.

Artist: Sandy Brewer

She will teach painting techniques, she will engage the participants in exercises with still life, landscapes and portraits.

About Sandy:
Sandy Brewer has been involved in the area of Art, Design and Craft since 1976. She has had a varied career as a production potter as well as creating one of a kind pieces. Opening her own craft/gift store at the age 22 she created one of Fredericton eclectic crafts/gift shops in the city during that time, blending here production-ware with other well know New Brunswick & Canadian artists and crafts people.  Since 2001 Sandy has been utilizing mediums of collage, painting, and photography to create vibrant, interactive works.
She has been a student of the New Brunswick School of Craft and Design, Haystack Mountain School of Craft & Design, Den International Hoiskol in Denmark, as well as studying and travelling in Scandinavia, Europe, Mexico & the Caribbean.

About Marcus:

Marcus Kingston is an artist here in the capital city, and a graduate of Mount Allison University. His work looks at the beauty and importance of historic architecture, and the need to preserve it for future generations. Marcus likes his works to be both realistic and abstract.  He gets a lot of his inspiration from the multitude of period homes, churches and historic sites right here in Fredericton. Selective works; from previous shows, can be seen at the Blue Door Restaurant, or by contacting Ingrid Mueller. He recently returned from France where he was working on an artistic commission.
