Join us at the Gallery this fall for some exciting programs:
The Shared Stories series will begin September 23rd and go until December 2nd on Thursday nights from 6:30 until 8:30 PM in the RBC room and Art Education Centre. These sessions will feature an Indigenous artist presentation, followed by questions, discussions, and the opportunity for creative responses from participants. The presentations will focus on objects and art from the Gallery collection and from personal collections of the presenters, including regalia, beading, quillwork, painting, mask making, drum making. This series will give the audience the opportunity to engage with the presenters to have a greater understanding of their cultural values and traditions, with a focus on reclaimed practices, cultural resilience, and their importance for Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik people.
The presenters will be as follows:
• September 23rd: Regalia with Natasha Martin-Mitchell
• October 28th: Beading with Robin Paul
• November 4th: Mask Making with Charlie Gaffney
• November 18th: Drum making with Kate Clermont
• November 25th: Quillwork with Starlit Simon
• December 2nd: Seal skin and feathers with Leanne Elson

Art for Tots
Art for Tots is for children aged 2-5 and their parents/guardians to participate in fun art games, hands-on activities, and storytelling. Classes will be on Fridays from 10-10:45 AM. The cost is free for members, $10 per parent for non-members. All materials will be included for the activity.
Classes for October will be held on:
• October 1st, 15th, and 29th.
Classes for November will be held on:
• November 12th and 26th.

Family workshops are a great way for parents/guardians to engage and create an art piece together with their child/children. Hands-on activities will range from various sorts of mediums. Workshops will be on Sundays from 2pm-4pm. All ages are welcome! The cost is free for members, $10 per parent for non-members. All materials will be included for the activity.
