Family Art Classes: SECOND & LAST Sunday of each month, 2:00- 4:00 PM- Classes are open to adults and children ages 5 and up. Cost is free for members, $5 per person or $15 for a family of 4; all materials are included.

January 29: Canadian winter scene inspired by Cornelius Krieghoff

Thursday night art class: 7:00- 9:00 PM- In February, Peggy Holt will be teaching using traditional materials. Please call ahead to register. Cost is free for members, $15 per session for non-members; materials are included.

February 2: The Pointillist Ideal: Optical mixture of colour in small works inspired by works in the gallery.

Art for Frosti-Tots (a special FROSTival event!): Fridays from 10:00- 10:45 AM- Children ages 2-5 and their parents participate in fun art games, hands-on activities, and storytelling. Cost is free for members, $10 per session for non-members; materials are included.

Creative flow: Yoga and art
Saturday, February 4, 10 am- 12 noon

Be moved by great works of art and make art with your whole body! Flow through the Beaverbrook Art Gallery with YogaGrow’s Amy Murphy then move this energy into creative expression through drawing, painting, and printmaking with artist Christina Thomson. A Winter Palette: Acrylic Painting Workshop
Saturday, February 4, 2 pm- 4 pm

Acrylic Painting workshop for children ages 7-10. Join artist Christina Thomson for a look at winter landscapes and cityscapes by famous artists and create your own masterpiece in acrylics on canvas. For more information, click here.

Our exhibitions are changing!
We’re freshening up the place to give you new things to look at. Some exhibitions may remain up for a bit longer, while others may already be closed - please call ahead if you’re looking forward to something in particular. 

New exhibitions open February 11th
Saturday, February 11 at 5pm – Join us to celebrate new exhibitions for the winter! Featuring the work of Franz Spohn, and the return of some of the Gallery’s celebrated Masterworks.
