Introducing: Family Art Day

We saw how much fun people were having at last year’s public opening celebration of the new pavilion – the community participation, and the buzz of excitement in the air. Our programming team were inspired by the feedback they received! From that inspiration, we’re excited to launch a new family program: Family Art Day.
With Family Day now a holiday in New Brunswick (this year on February 19), we have a perfect opportunity to kick off this new, monthly program for families to create and enjoy art together.
Once a month, we’ll open our doors and host a day full of activities. Programs that were previously part of separate Sunday Family Art Workshops will be offered together on one day, so that we can better accommodate higher attendance. By offering multiple workshops at the same time, we have more spaces to go around on a given day! We’ll also offer musical performances and more during the day, to make it a complete experience.
In February, we’re celebrating families and art-making by offering three weekend programs:
- Sunday Family Art Workshops will continue to be held on February 11 and February 25 (these will be the last sessions in the current format)
- Our first Family Art Day will take place on a special date, in celebration of New Brunswick’s first Family Day, Monday, February 19.
After that, here’s how our program offerings will change:
- Sunday Family Art Workshops will no longer be offered on the second and last Sunday of the month, as of March 1.
- Family Art Days will take place on the last Sunday of the month, starting March 1.
