A huge thank you to our friends at Gallery 78 for their generous donation to the Molly Lamb Bobak Children’s Art Education Program!
Gallery 78 graciously hosted the traditional Nutcracker Tea with two sittings on November 20th.
The event, which has been a beloved staple of Fredericton’s holiday calendar, was run by the staff at Gallery 78 this year, who also teamed up with Dance Fredericton to help celebrate their production of The Nutcracker. Over 160 attendees took part in two sold out tea sittings.
In the past, the Nutcracker Tea has been hosted at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and although we were disappointed to not be able to host it here again, we were thrilled that our colleagues across the street took charge this year. It was a welcome way to continue the event.
Both sittings included a special focus on ballet with dancers, festive decorations, treats, and crafts. All funds raised were generously donated to support children’s programming in the future at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery.
By the end of the event, Gallery 78 raised $1,500 for the Molly Lamb Bobak Children’s Art Education Program, which will help support our programming and inspire young people to create. Thank you again to Gallery 78, and to all those who participated, for contributing to art education in the province and for supporting our goal of enriching life through art.
