Just who was the Blank Canvas Bandit, and what did he want with the Beaverbrook Art Gallery? Guests had to crack the case and find out at The Case of the Blank Canvas Bandit, a special, one-night-only murder mystery fundraiser event at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery on October 1st.

At the event, participants joined an eccentric cast of characters as they uncovered the mystery of the Blank Canvas Bandit in this humorous, off-the-wall, and tongue-in-cheek look at the world of the visual arts and the characters that inhabit it.

The unique performance event was presented by the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, who hosted the evening and set the stage, and Theatre New Brunswick, who created the characters and the story for this theatrical performance. Attendees were not only the audience watching the story, but also had the opportunity to add their sleuthing skills to it. The evening also included refreshments, and a silent auction featuring a variety of experiences and items to bid on.

In the end a great evening was had by everyone who attended, and we think the Blank Canvas Bandit won’t be coming around the Beaverbrook Art Gallery any time soon! Take a look at a few pictures from the event here.
