About the artist
Edith Bouchard (b.1924) self-taught artist had two sisters
and they all painted. The artist decided to paint this work
when she saw the horse unharnessed at the end of the day.
This work is of her hometown of St. Antoine at Baie St.
Paul, Quebec. Bouchard gave-up painting to become a nun.
